After just moving here and JoAnn's closed I was worried I wouldn't be able to find another fabric store. Thank goodness this store exists! There are SO many cotton fabric choices!! I walked in and felt like I was in heaven! The prices are a little higher than is like, but that comes with the times these days, I guess. I'll definitely be returning!

Try to find a better fabric store. I bet you can’t!!! They have a wide selection of high quality fabrics, and the employees are knowledgeable. There is a sewing machine section and classes available.

I recently visited the Fairview Heights location to purchase fabric for a new kitchen valance. When I didn’t see quite the right color of fabric I wanted, Debbie, the manager of Home Decor, suggested I look through their vast selection of custom fabric sample catalogs. She told me that custom fabrics could be pricey as shipping cost are added. I ended up finding 2 in stock fabrics, and when I couldn’t decide between them, Debbie suggested I take them home to see how each would look in my space. I returned to the store the following day and was assisted by the marvelous Patricia. I decided to get a new valance pattern in addition to new fabric. I browsed several beautiful valances hanging in the Hone Decor department. When I was unsure I could make the valance I chose due to my somewhat limited sewing skills, Patricia explained the style was relatively easy and even skimmed the pattern instructions for any “surprises”. Patricia helped pick out coordinating fabrics and trim. She has a keen eye for color! Both Debbie and Patricia are friendly, knowledgeable, and have fantastic and astute sense of color and style. I left the store with beautiful pattern, fabrics, trim, and confidence. These qualities in staff and selection are not found in chain fabric stores. Prices are higher at Jackman’s, but you get what you pay for - do you want someone who simply cuts fabric or do you want a knowledgeable professional?
