eagerly drove into the parking lot of this store, looking forward to discovering all the beautiful fabrics and machines during my very first visit. The first time I received a greeting was as I was leaving the store, empty-handed. I was interested in a multi-needle embroidery machine, yet once again, there was no acknowledgment from anyone. I spent at least thirty minutes in this store without even a simple hello. How can an employee look directly at someone and not say anything, not even offer a smile? With Joann’s no longer an option, I suppose I will have to turn to online shopping for my fabric and machine requirements.

What an amazing experience. You can tell the workers love their job and love what they do. Special shout out to the lovely girly Alex. Thank you for helping me sort out my costume. It was a lovely experience.💜

I’m completely appalled at how an employee named Dee treated my 75-year-old mother during our first visit to the Lindbergh location of Jackman’s Fabrics on 7/12/25. I visited with my mother, excited to shop for fabric, but that excitement quickly turned into frustration and disgust after interacting with Dee at the fabric counter. From the start, Dee made it clear she didn’t want to help us. She used a dismissive and condescending tone, and acted like we were an inconvenience. My mother thought Dee had asked for her name, so she gave it — Dee snapped, “What is it that you need?” I explained we wanted to purchase a yard of the fabric that my mom was holding. Instead of helping, she began ranting about an event happening in the store and how the event customers kept trying to check in at the fabric counter. She was clearly frustrated. When I told her that her frustration was no excuse for disrespecting us, she became defensive. When my mother politely asked the price of the fabric, Dee pointed to a tiny tag and said sarcastically, “What does that say?” I explained to her it was our first time in the store and asked for assistance without rudeness. She claimed she was helping, all while continuing to speak rudely. When I asked to speak with a manager, she stated she was the manager, which was even more concerning. We left empty-handed and will not return. If a manager can so freely belittle a new customer, especially a senior, I can only imagine how she treats other customers and staff. Jackman’s has lost our business for good. We’ll gladly support a business that values basic decency and service when engaging with customers.

First off I'm a non sewer, I went with my wife who is a pro level quilter :). That said, I'm still interested in the craft. Jackman's has a huge variety of sewing machines, gadgets, thread, fabric. It's a huge space. We bought a sewing machine. Trisha was super helpful and very knowledgeable about the machines and their functions. We saw a demo of this super advanced steam iron by the store manager who was in the store on her day off. Super friendly staff and all were very helpful. I felt the passion of the people who worked there and I enjoyed my visit. I highly recommend this place!

Jackman’s Fabrics is a wonderful shop. I have bought all my machines and supplies there because they give me the support I need. The staff is very friendly and always available to help and to give advice and tips for any project. They have helped me become a better sewist and embroiderer. Highly recommend!
