TLDR: Kind people, poor service, inconsistent pricing. My husband and I have been going here for about three years and these past two years things have gotten a bit weird. First and foremost we really like the convenience of how they take walk-in appointments and their location is very convenient for us. Additionally they are very kind, but the positives stop about there. At first the prices were really good, then mine got higher, but my husband’s did not. I found that fact interesting, he is foreign and I am not. This may be completely unrelated but he did say how much he chats it up with them and he did get better prices than me in years 2 and 3. Then this past April I brought in a bunch of linen pants and denim to be hemmed and a dress that needed tacked in the back so it did not show my bra and the straps shortened. You need to tell them to make the denim hem look the same as when you purchased it. My denim hems look like my grandma sewed it on her sewing machine, not like the original denim hem, not great. The dress, I noticed as Yessenia (spelling?) was marking it up (a brand new $135 Tommy Bahama dress with tags on it) that she seemed to plan to take up the back which was to be flowing and baggy and since the dress had shorts sewn into them, I knew if she did that it would make them pull up my butt. So before I left I said please do not take that part up, it is supposed to be baggy there. I come back the day she told me to and she informs me she has not started my work because her father-in-law is dying, very sad but also frustrating because it had been 3 weeks. Okay, I understand, I’m to come back in 2 weeks and it will all be done which is still time before I trip I wanted to take many of these items on. I come back and everything is done except the dress, she had taken up like I told her not to. She apologized and said she would fix it and must have misunderstood. I’m pretty frustrated because I told her not to do that and the dress was brand new. I don’t know how she can add fabric when she has now removed fabric that never should have been removed. I come back a third time on the date she asked and Lana is there, another worker, not Yessenia, the dress has not been touched and she says I can come back a fourth time. I am leaving in two days for my trip at this point. Lana says I can wear it on my trip and if it’s not good, bring it back and they will fix it. Of course, it was not good, it was up my butt the whole day I wore it, the brand new dress that was not supposed to be “fixed” that way. I return home and go in for the fifth time now about this dress. Lana is there and assures me this dress will be fixed and I can come in July 7th to collect it. On July 18th I go in for the sixth time about this same dress and it has not been touched. I am now furious. Ali is there this time, he is the owner. Lana is nearly laughing she is smiling so much at my frustration which only makes it so I need to walk out before I say something I regret. I’m told they will fix it free of charge, well I hope so considering I already paid for it and explicitly asked for that part NOT to be done. It will only take 10 minutes, please wait…10 minutes?! So either we are rushing this job that I have been waiting since April for or it always took 10 minutes and I have been waiting since April, this is such bad business I cannot even deal with the condescending smiling and attitude I’m receiving. I have to go and come back to again the seventh time to find they have added fabric to the crotch so hopefully it does not go up my butt, it does not look right at all under the skirt which is okay because that won’t show but it sure was a LOT more comfortable when it was originally purchased. I was offered nothing for all of this. No coupon, no apology, no paying for my brand new dress that is ruined. I don’t know how it will fit but I certainly would be a fool to go back to this place where I have referred many people. Shame on them.

I needed a dress with beading hemmed within 10 days and six places in Columbus said no, because of the time crunch. I finally found Red Carpet Alterations, and she said she’d have it done in one week — and she did! I’m thrilled with the result and so appreciate her time. I will be back for all my alteration needs.

Highly recommend! I’ve used them for everything from basic hemming to formal dresses to special projects. They are kind, quick, meticulous, and affordable. They have been super accommodating when I’ve asked for additional adjustments or needed something in a rush. They are my go-to place for alterations!

Went here to get a cheap thin cotton dress shortened and shoulders tightened. it took two weeks to finish and when I received it the lady who doesn’t speak any english and does the alterations had shortened my dress too much and then had the nerve to charge $167. ONE HUNDRED SIXTY SEVEN DOLLARS, for 20 minutes worth of alterations. threads were coming off of the dress when i received it back. this place is way overpriced and not worth it. i will not be back and i suggest you take your money elsewhere.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Red Carpet Alterations for my wedding dress alterations, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel comfortable and understood the importance of my dress for the big day. They provided valuable suggestions to enhance the fit and style of my gown without being pushy. The consultation process was thorough, and I appreciated their attention to detail, which is crucial for something as special as a wedding dress. The alterations themselves were executed beautifully. My dress fit like a glove after the modifications, and I felt absolutely stunning in it. They also managed to complete the work in a timely manner, which really eased my mind as the wedding date approached. Overall, I highly recommend Red Carpet Alterations for anyone looking for professional and caring alterations, especially for such a significant occasion.
