My first class and we learned the basic of sewing and the sewing machine. I would recommend showing up 10 minutes in advance to get to know your work area.I will be on the search for more class to take, really love my towel made in class today.

I started with the Adult Beginner class and then did a First Friday class where we made a book tote bag! I enjoyed both so much, and had so much fun! I am now confident enough to do so more projects at home, but I will definitely be taking more classes when I have the time. I'm actually heading over there today to get some fabric! A really great place, and Jona is an amazing (and patient!) teacher!

I took the Adults Beginner/Refresher course and it was lovely. I do plan to take more classes in the future as I continue this journey. The reason for 4 stars is that when I had a question and needed help, instead of actually helping and showing me, the instructor just quickly did something and said “there, you did it!” Uhm, no ma’am, I did not… As a previous Montessori toddler Guide myself, I assume the use of hands when teaching sewing isn’t much different. I’m very good at watching hands but what you did showed me nothing during one part of the class. Luckily there is YouTube, though I don’t feel I should have had to resort to that after paying someone to show me in person. I don’t remember what I said but I made a comment basically stating that I did not know what you did and you just walked away and continued on. Yes, I did watch the video, then I tried to do what you said before it looked like it was about to get tangled in 2 spots so I stopped and asked for help. Anyway. Other than that one hiccup, I enjoyed the class. Thank you.

Jona is amazing!! This place is so friendly and such a beautiful setup. My daughter’s stuffed animal bunny lost its ear and Jona offered to fix it for no cost. Dropped everything she was doing to help me out. I strongly recommend this place.

Long story short they won’t help you if you haven’t signed up for a class or bought the machine there. I was told to go to YouTube for basic thread advise. It’s a sewing SCHOOL. Teach. They also didn’t have the time of day for me. I was told that when I walked in. “We have a class in 10 mins so I need you to hurry up”. Then change your hours to “by reservation only” on staurdays. I was there to sign up for a class for me and for my kids but I was rushed out and dismissed so quickly by the owner and her mother I won’t be back. I got it set up though ladies!!!!! Made a whole strip without any help. Is it a hot mess? Yes. But I did it despite the “teaching” that you literally imply in your name. Also this will be for a pillow case quilt type sham so don’t judge the first strip yet.
