Store Review
Always In Stitches in Noblesville offers a diverse selection of quilting materials, yarn, and a spacious area for classes. While some customers appreciate the friendly staff and quality products, others have noted concerns about pricing and class effectiveness, particularly for beginners. The store features a clearance section and a dedicated area for needle felting, making it a unique destination for sewing enthusiasts. Overall, it provides a welcoming atmosphere, though service speed may vary.

The shop has plenty of fabric and hobbies to offer. Prices are what I expect for a small shop. Jessica is fantastic. That said, the service department is slower than drunken snails. This is my second annual spa day. The first took weeks because they were “busy following a sale”. Hmmm. One might ask why new machines would need service. 🤔. This year, they quoted 2-4 weeks for a spa day for my S7. I called for an update at the end of week 4. They then said they had not started it and it would be another 1-2 weeks. That means 5-6 WEEKS—1 1/2 MONTHS — for a simple cleaning. Unacceptable. I spoke with my original, service-oriented dealer in California. I can ship it to him and he’ll have it serviced and shipped back within 2 days with no shipping cost. These shops would be better served to use a queuing system where an owner keeps their machine and is called a couple days before service begins. Owners would be happier and not driven to buying online instead of locally and their “service” department wouldn’t have shelves full of idle machines.

If you are looking to take a class here I wouldn’t recommend it unless you already know what you are doing. I took a knitting boot camp in the month of June with Janet and it was a terrible experience. Me and my friend both beginners me with a little bit of experience decided to take this class for fun in the summer as a fun summer break activity. The first class the first teacher was already getting annoyed by us because we didn’t have much experience which is why we were taking the class. She did not have patience and basically ignored us for the rest of the classes. Her teaching style is if you know you know and if you don’t then you are just stupid. She spent a lot of time with the people that were already excelling instead of with those who really need it. It was a chore coming to class, I only came cause I didn’t want to waste my money but my friend ended up quitting since she wasn’t able to pick up anything cause she had no previous knitting background. Overall I would not recommend taking a class here as a young beginner.

Everything is very expensive compared to the other hundreds of quilt shops I’ve been to. Even their sale fabric was $14 a yard and they think that they can charge three dollars for a Villa Rosa pattern

Check out this massive store! They have a fantastic selection of quilting materials and yarn, plus a big clearance section and plenty of space for classes. I was thrilled to see a nice area dedicated to needle felting, complete with books and tools. The kits for making projects looked great; they’re such a fun way to dive into a new hobby. While the prices are a bit higher than some other local yarn shops, the selection is definitely curated based on what they feature.

Entered this shop at the beginning of my sewing journey and encountered the most helpful and friendly staff! As one reviewer said, chain stores may be a bit less expensive but you can absolutely tell the difference in quality! Their sale ROOM has the best selection of any of the local fabric shops I’ve been in, they offer plenty of classes and jump at the chance to answer questions. Every trip to this store is such a treat and offers an experience the chain stores cannot compete with!
