I decided to search for unique New Orleans themed fabric while I'm home for a visit. This store more than satisfied my yearning for Nola themes. And such a delight talking to the staff. I plan to become a frequent online shopper. The quality and price are exceptional. I love the ready made kits and what a huge variety of patterns to choose from.

I absolutely LOVED this haven! I had an amazing experience! I am a quilter and I was visiting the city and this place was warm and welcoming! I even had a chance to participate in the Sip & Sew event! The ladies were THE BEST. Lauren the shop owner and teacher is AMAZING!!!!! It’s a must to visit!

I love Chateau Sew & Sew on St Charles Ave in New Orleans. Beautiful fabrics. Comfortable workshop with great classes & events. My fave is Open Sew Sunday. Every month with a 5th Sunday, the store and workshop are open all day. For only $15 for the whole day, you can work on your sewing projects surrounded by other sewing enthusiasts working on theirs. I got so much done this past Open Sew (Nov 30) that I've already marked my calendar with the four 5th Sundays in 2026. I don't want to miss any!

Awesome shop, filled to the brim with sewing goodies, kits, and endless things to explore in the sewing world! Laura, the owner, is fantastic—super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They offer fun classes, and I’m even learning to quilt (a bucket list item!). Highly recommend for anyone who loves sewing or wants to try something new.

This shop is an absolute gem and must for any of your sewing needs. All the notions, fabrics galore, and the owner & team are fantastic- so much knowledge and passion! I’ve also taken two classes through Chateau Sew & Sew - beginner sewing with Joelle and hand sewing “sip & sew” with Laura. I learned so much with the beginner sewing series and use all of the items o made - it also helped my confidence with sewing! The sip & sew was a BLAST - learning to make envelope pouches over a glass of hard seltzer was just what I needed for a Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend checking them out!!

I had a great time attending Laura’s ZipPouch class on a Saturday afternoon. Laura had the fabric we chose cut and waiting for us. Her instructions were so easy to follow and I had fun with the other sewists. I already have plans for a couple more pouches to give as gifts. The hardest part is choosing from all the beautiful fabrics in the shop.

Coming from NYC, this store is still amazing to me. They have fantastic, high quality, beautiful, and well-rounded stock. They have helpful and friendly staff, a lovely display, a generous assortment of notions, patterns, and accessories and something for everyone. I made the Core Patterns Wrap Dress (sold there) from their gorgeous matcha cotton and it turned out great. I also think the prices are very fair for the quality selection.
