Stopped here last summer during the All Michigan Shop Hop (for quilters) and was highly satisfied with the friendly service. Last year I was mostly interested in the fabric section. While their selection is somewhat limited, there was variety and some features that drew my attention (and my shopping dollars)! Recently I returned to pick out a new vaccuum. No longer satisfied with what I could get at a department store or national chain, I wanted to shop more locally, with service after the sale on the product. The model I selected is targeted for folks with pets, so I'm looking forward to using my new purchase!

Really pleased - I was treated kindly and gently when I brought my (VERY old) sewing machine in for repair. While it did take a few months, they returned it in perfect order, and SPARKLING! The care attention to detail that went into restoring my ancient machine was clear. Thank you for returning my hobby for at-quoted cost (significantly below a replacement/upgrade pricepoint)

They’re the best / only dealer of quality vacuums on the north side of Grand Rapids I’m aware of. I’ve bought a Miele upright and Sebo canister here. Both have been great machines.

To make a long story short, I will not go back. I was told 2 weeks and waited 5 months. I was told it’d be covered under warranty and it wasn’t. And they had poor communication. I was only contacted once and that was after needing to call 4-5 times during this entire process. I took my brand new Serger in to have one front panel replaced. That was in March. I was told originally it would take 2 weeks and it would be covered under warranty. After 3 weeks, they hadn’t called, so I did. They told me their repair guy was having medical problems and it would now be 4 weeks. Understandable, so I waited 4 more weeks. After 4 weeks, they still hadn’t called, so I did. They told me the same story, and when I asked for where they were in the processes of repairing it, they didn’t know. So I went in to pick it up, only to learn I couldn’t because they had already ordered the part and I’d have to pay $10. So I kept waiting. They still gave no updates after another 2 weeks. I called around the first week of July, so people were off on holidays for the weekend and was told I’d get a call right on Monday. A week later with STILL NO CALL, I had to call yet again. They still didn’t know where they were in the process of ordering the part. Finally I was told a Manager would get ahold of brother to find out where the part was. Given this is all on brother for being slow on their end, and when they finally got in touch, I was told the part wouldn’t be finished for shipping until end of July. Whatever. I waited. Finally today I get the call the machine is done (it’s now August). It took 5 months, not 2 weeks. And when I get there, come to find out, it’s gonna be $10. Now I know that’s not a big deal, but dammit it was supposed to be covered. And my options were to pay or leave it there so they can get ahold of brother. Obviously my repeat business wasn’t worth $10 to them. This would have been a much better experience if they actually cared to called me with updates, but they preferred to ignore me. I almost cried when I picked it up cause I was so frustrated. These people do not care about their clients.

My wife stopped here to look for some quilting supplies. They are part of an event called a shop-hop for quilters to stop in, get a stamp in their books, possibly win some prizes, and they get a discount on purchases. The staff was friendly and efficient, the store was clean.
