A beautiful little store full of gorgeous modern fabrics and notions. Most of the staff are super friendly and helpful (something that IME, many quilt stores lack!). I have taken a few classes here and they have been wonderful. They used to have a little modern-ish guild meeting here, but that seems to have stopped during the pandemic - I wish they would bring it back! Can't say enough good things. If you make quilts, you will love it. Easy parking out back too.

Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable- plus amazing fabric! Diverse, first quality fabrics- contemporary, Australian, baby, William Morris. Favorite designers like Kaffe, Riley Blake, and Tilda are represented. If you stay a few minutes when they get a fabric shipment delivered, they’ll open it so you get to see it first!

I had the pleasure of discovering this shop last weekend. I was sooo impressed. The staff is super hospitable and helpful. Though small, the shop is full of great fabric. And the fabric is not the "usual" stuff you see in every shop. Further, they create their own quilt kits and even sell the finished quilts they made for display in the shop. Check out their website, it is really nice. My next trip to NJ, I will stop by again. And the town is also super cute, so stop, grab lunch, and shop some of the other local shops. Spread the word: Early Girl is great.
