Calla Lily Quilts

There was no one at the building. There was no business there nor was there a sign saying that the business was somewhere else. Oh well. The big store got my money this time because the little store was nowhere to be found.

My boyfriend and I were throwing together last-minute Halloween costumes for a party. Since he was traveling for work, I told him to let me handle the details and just asked if he could find me four yards of tan fabric, something close to the golden color of an oatmeal cream pie. He had no idea what our costumes were going to be, but I trusted him to figure it out. He stopped by this store, and thanks to the amazing staff, came home with the perfect fabric, textured, soft, and spot-on in color. He said as soon as he walked in, the employees jumped right in to help. They pulled different shades and textures, compared swatches, and worked with him until they found exactly what we needed. Once he saw the finished costumes, he finally realized what we were going as — he was “Big Deborah,” and I was the oatmeal cream pie! Our costumes turned out better than I ever imagined, and it’s all thanks to the friendly, creative, and patient team who helped him that day. The photo below shows just how perfectly the fabric matches the box!

Upscale quilting store. Lots of great fabric options. The staff were not the friendliest, but the fabric selection was great. I did find the prices slightly higher than usual.

Great selection of fabrics. Nobody greeted us upon entering. No employees ever asked if we had any questions or if we needed any assistance.

I love selections in Calla lilies, along with the classes and the staff.
