Michelle Rene Designs and Wedding Gown Alterations at The Imperial Events Center inside Lancaster Holiday Inn Downtown

I didn’t know a service like Michelle Rene’s existed, but I am very glad I found her! At my first fitting, my gown came out of the bag and panic set in. I was thinking, “how the heck am I or any of my girls going to be able to steam this well enough to make it look good for the wedding?” I was lucky enough to find Michelle Rene in a frantic Google search. I opted for the day-of wedding concierge service and I am SO glad I did! Not only did she come out the morning of the wedding to steam and press my gown, my bridesmaids gowns, and the men’s suits, but she went above and beyond with her amazing tool kit. She helped some of my girls fit into their dresses beautifully with magic tape, she fixed my mom’s bracelet when it broke, and she took AMAZING pictures of the bridal suite and first look: invaluable pictures that I was able to post on social media before I got the professional pictures. (one included here) Michelle walked around with us as my husband and I did our first look and subsequent pictures to fix my dress and hold my flowers. (amazing) When I started to ugly cry on my way out to do my first look, Michelle rubbed my back and reassured me, saving my makeup from utter doom! My dress had a complicated bustle, and Michelle did it with ease at the cocktail hour. It was great because I just stood there as she bustled and I had my own little reception line. (see the other photo) It truly made everything seamless and saved my girls from the hassle! Michelle was absolutely wonderful and what I’ve said here doesn’t even fully cover everything she did for us. Michelle is absolutely incredible! I took in a 1975 vintage gown to her to be altered so it was more comfortable for my wedding in Key West. Michelle opened the back of my dress, created a bustle, and fixed the neckline. She treated the fabric with so much care and my dress ended up being stunning. Brides, take your dress to Michelle!!

I couldn't be happier with the experience I had with Michelle! To put it in perspective, I emailed her two months before my wedding in a panic because I needed my wedding dress altered and fixed in a few areas before my wedding AND I had a bridesmaid from out of state that needed her dress altered two days before the wedding. Michelle responded to me within hours assuring me that she would take care of me, set an appointment with me, told me not to worry that she would have it all taken care of before the wedding, AND guaranteed better prices than Davids Bridal! She took care of me and my bridesmaid as if we were her own family! She was friendly, flexible and an amazing price! I recommend her to any bride and/or bridesmaid out there! The alterations made to my dress were flawless!

I went with Michelle Rene to have alterations done to my wedding dress. While I thought Michelle was lovely and the alterations were well-priced, it was incredibly hard to get contact with her. Schedule appointments was challenging. Sadly, this included the weeks leading up to my wedding, when we were supposed to schedule a final fitting and steam. She never got back to me. While I recommend her for the work itself, the lack of communication was frustrating, and I can confidently say that this undue stress is not what any bride wants or needs the week before their wedding.

Michelle Rene has a true gift as a professional seamstress. She made my wedding dress fit like a glove and ensured all its beautiful details were on point. Michelle also has an amazing personality and is super friendly and easy to get along with. You will feel comfortable with all your alteration needs in her hands.
