Sew Great by Nery

I attended an adult sewing boot camp here, starting with my rudimentary sewing knowledge from junior high school. Nery is the best instructor! She is extremely knowledgeable, patient with all students from all walks of life, injects humor and calm guidance throughout the class. She is warm and inviting to all and encourages us without criticism. I learned how to sew and made basic pants, learning tips and skills to tackle a project on my own. Can’t express enough gratitude for these classes. Don’t hesitate to try them! I’ve already signed up for another.

I recently took my first class with Nery, the jean upcycle class, and had an absolute blast. Nery is so kind and patient, and was all hands in checking in on all the students. She does a great job of explaining the sewing concepts. I also really loved hearing stories of her family and sewing past (especially the mama impressions lol!). Her little studio is so cute whilst also being functional for her students. The location in Ironworks also makes it a fun outing to grab food/drinks and do a little shopping. I definitely recommend, and will be taking another class soon!

This sewing class was absolutely amazing! Nery is a fantastic teacher and Jerry, her intern, was incredibly helpful and encouraging the whole time. They both created such a warm, welcoming environment that made it so easy to feel comfortable and confident while learning. I left the class feeling proud of what I accomplished and truly excited to take on more sewing projects on my own. I can’t recommend this class enough, and I’m already looking forward to coming back for my next one!

We had a wonderful experience with Sew Great during their inclusive watercolor class for people of all abilities. The event was welcoming for everyone who attended. The instructor was incredibly accommodating, patient, and helpful making sure each participant felt supported and successful regardless of skill level. It was clear that inclusivity and accessibility were a priority. We’re grateful they created such a positive, creative space for our community!

I’m so glad I found this craft shop❤️ I’ve taken a few sewing classes and Nery is so kind, patient, and encouraging. She never makes you feel bad about your work and helps you with every step. All of the classes are fun and relaxing, it’s always a great time. They offer different crafting classes and have materials in the shop to buy as well. Def recommend taking a class and supporting a local small business😊 my tote bag I made this past weekend, I’m obsessed with it❤️
