So many wonderful things to say about The Smockingbird— wonderful and ever changing variety of fabrics, helpful staff, and a host of classes and Sit & Sews to provide help and education! Love visiting The Smockingbird and all the ladies there!

I have shopped at The Smocking Bird for 25 years. They have the most beautiful fabrics and laces. A huge selection of patterns. They are so helpful and good at helping me pick out what to make. They have lots of samples around the store to help with ideas as well. My daughter-in-law wanted to learn to sew so she took classes here and is doing so well with her sewing. The only place I’ll go for fabrics, etc! Love Cobbie and all the sweet ladies who work there!

The smocking bird is my favorite place in town! They have everything you could ever need for all of your sewing projects! They are so so helpful in the classes that they offer and they have such a fun community of people. They are always kind and helpful, even if you have no idea what you are doing. I always feel right at home there!

Purchased materials for a little bishop dress and paid to have the dress pulled for pleats. The dress was shipped to me and when I received the package all of the floss was not in the package and the pulled pleats are uneven and puckered. I am having to back smock, cut threads to creat non-puckered pleats. I paid over $80 for unsatisfactory work. The image shown is even after I have worked on some of the back smocking, to creat even pleats. This has been a headache!
