Lids

Needed a custom hat for an event, all of the places I reached out to had 3-5 days turn around time. Being a last minute person, I needed it in 2 days. I called Lids and spoke with "G" (Garret) and mentioned we could get it done that same day. I'm super picky and spent so much time (over an hour) asking about fonts and threads and what not and Emani was super patient and took the time to make and adjust the virtual example until I was satisfied with it. Thank for putting up with me! "G" (Garret) also helped me out during the process and gave extremely attentive customer service and opinions on what hat type/fit would work best for me. They were both extremely efficient, friendly, and I left to do some other shopping and picked it up about 30 min later. All the praise for Emani and Garret for making it a great experience! Will def be coming to work with them for custom items!

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING CUSTOM FROM THIS LOCATION! I used to be a huge fan of Lids (Fanatics) and up until yesterday have never had a bad experience. Unfortunately, that changed when I visited the Cherry Creek location on 7/6. I went in to buy an MLB hat and had them add some custom embroidery. I brought my hat to the counter, picked out my embroidery, paid, and continued to shop around the store. When my hat was finished I noticed that there were two hats sitting by the embroidery machine. One was a 7 (my size) and one was a 7 1/2 (not my size). The guy at the counter handed me the 7 1/2 with the embroidery I chose. When I told him that I brought him the size 7 and not the size 7 1/2, he panicked, and told me I said "size 7 1/2". I have been wearing a size 7 hat for 20 years, there is zero chance I said 7 1/2. This was clearly his mistake. What's worse is that he refused to redo it and told me that since it was custom, there was no refunds. It's a $70 hat, not the end of the world but after this experience I will never buy anything from Lids or Fanatics again. They could have simply owned up to it and made it right but instead they chose to treat me like I was lying to them in the store. I would caution anyone customizing a hat here to not let the employees out of your sight!

I have been shopping here for over a year. Nick and Thaddeus are amazing. Always get the product I want and I love to get all my stuff embroidery done comes out great. I recommend this store to any real sport appeal fans in Denver. Great store great experience
