A-1 Foam & Upholstery

My sofa is 20 years old, the cushions were long past due for replacement. I have a Flexsteel sofa so it’s still in good shape. I had added a long piece of foam under the cushions to help give them more stability but the extra piece of foam was giving up and it was finally time to replace the cushions. The people at A-1 Foam gave me an estimate, and I went in to try out the different foam pieces they had to get the right support for me. I brought the cushions in for my appointment, it took a couple more days than expected to get them back but I didn’t mind that. When I put the finished cushions on the sofa it was like having a brand new sofa all over. I definitely recommend this business.

Joni at A-1 did a great job making replacement cushions for the rattan furniture in our sun room. The original manufacturer is defunct and there were no available patterns, but she was meticulous in taking her measurements and the replacements fit perfectly. Her workmanship was perfect and they look great!

I was looking around for help re-upholstering my dining room chairs. I wanted to do it myself but had a bunch of questions after I took apart one of the chairs. I brought just the foam from the old seat, and started talking through my project with them. These folks were INCREDIBLY helpful! They described how to make the seat bottom more solid. They helped with foam choice and had me sit on a couple samples. They then custom cut all six foam pieces while I waited there talking to another employee about fabric choices. She described everything I needed to know about fabric, and even pointed me towards their “remnants” bin in case there were any deals there that looked good to me. After all was said and done, I got foam and fabric for 6 big dining chairs for about $400. I also got the confidence from these guys to do the project myself. I just finished today, and it wasn’t too bad. They don’t look perfect, but they’re way better than they would have been without help! Their shop looked busy upholstering furniture and what looked like a car seat maybe? They were super knowledgeable and very helpful. Well definitely do business here again!
