I took the sewing 101 class at SewGreen today and it was so much fun! I brought my own machine to learn how to use it, but they had machines ready to use for everyone who didn't bring one. The class size was 7 people and our instructor Amy was fantastic! She taught us all how to thread the machines, and about different machine parts. We got to make a tiny pillow. Afterwards we all shopped for fabric to keep practicing at home. I cannot wait to take another class in the future! Thank you to all of the volunteers at SewGreen! This place is a gem!

So I was on the hunt for a couple of things to add to my sewing machine and thought I would check this place out. First impression was how bright and open it is. Second thought how clean and organized. The prices are so reasonable it's easy to walk out with tons of goodies to satisfy your sewing habit. Everything from fabric to thimbles! The sewing classes are so reasonable,it's a no brainer. Best of all they keep so much out of the landfill. Parking is right in the front next to the door and the staff is pleasant and very knowledgeable. I wish I could give it 10 stars!!! I uploaded a bunch of pictures of the inside, check out this store you won't be disappointed.

SewGreen has moved to 560 W Main on the corner of Madison. It’s a wonderful, friendly place with classes and supplies for all sorts of sewing, knitting, crochet and embroidery materials! The prices are very low because everything is donated and SeeGreen is a nonprofit organization.

This is such a cool store. They have second hand fabric, yarn, and other materials. You just feel good when you shop here. I am so glad they are expanding and I can't wait to see what they do with more space.
