Great know-how and service! I bought an industrial machine from Art a year ago-- great machine set up with an upgraded, sturdy table. Art and staff know their machines and are service experts. Don't walk in expecting a dealership-- this is a repair shop that also sells machines, full of mechanics who are experts in every type of machine from blind-hemmers to industrial lockstitch and beyond that. They know everything about setting the machines up and keeping them running, and the expertise is worth any rough edges. You'll get a straight story, a fair price, and no time/money spent on anything that isn't essential-- no marketing or fluff. Art has a variety of machines in the warehouse. Tell him in advance what you need through a phone call, and arrange a time to come in-- don't just show up. They'll literally move a machine or two out of storage and set it up for you to try out in the machine shop. He can tell you if you really need the fancy features or if a basic model fits your needs, and will let you do a test run. The staff are kind and helpful experts, able to give you a few tips on usage even while they are doing their jobs repairing other machines nearby. It's not a fancy place, but they have GOOD stuff there! They'll help you understand how to transport the machine safely and will even help you load. For sales it's a bare-bones operation with EXCELLENT service supported by a wealth of knowledge... better than you'll see in many dealerships. Be polite and honest and you'll get the same in return. Art and staff are extremely busy; they are in high demand since so few experienced sewing techs are left in our area. If he sounds harried, it's because he's busy keeping machines running for those of us still in the business, and he's GOOD at it. Give him a minute to recover from an interruption and he'll efficiently help you out. Art has a deep respect for people who use the machines, and if you're kind and polite he responds very generously. He doesn't put up with nonsense or pressure-- just don't be a jerk and you'll have a great experience. When there are mechanical issues, he's available by phone or text to consult, and provides fantastic support-- replacing parts if one happens to be faulty. This is an ethical, old-style machine shop and a real treasure. (Hoping that Art stays in great health, because we can't afford to let someone with that much knowledge retire!)

I had a terribly rude and unprofessional experience yesterday with somebody at advanced sewing technologies. He set a day and time to buy and pick up my sewing machine. I tried to confirm the meeting about 1 hr before on the day and I didnt hear anything back, but thought he may be driving. So I had a babysitter, and I prepared my machine to move, cleared a space and had everything ready to go. Five minutes after the meeting time I called and found out the technician took a different service call instead, and didn’t bother to respond to me and let me know he was not planning to come anymore! Then he abruptly and rudely hung up the phone on me. Very strange behavior from a place of business.

The best customer service I’ve had- attention to detail and ability to coach me through options has been unmatched and I’ve worked with many different companies sourcing machines/parts! Hopefully looking to source more from Art and crew at Advanced Sewing Technologies Corp!

Absolutely the best customer service. I’ve purchased machines with several companies and they have to be the best thus far when it comes with their technical support and fair prices on equipment. Will do business with them again and again.

Purchased an industrial machine from here and had a terrible experience. The machine came covered in rust. The bed has been painted to hide any wear on the machine. There were parts missing. The shipping department just blew wood screws through the table wherever they wanted to secure the machine to the pallet. The table is so worn out, it sags and is impossible to level do to how rickety it is. I tried to send it back but they would only take it back if I paid the freight-- having already paid freight in one direction-- losing $500+ and having no sewing machine to show for it wasnt an option so we kept it to try and make it work. 5 months later, I tried to trade the machine in for a new one because this one is garbage due to how poorly it runs. They tried to give me 50% trade in on a new machine. Buyer beware. I have heard similar stories from others.
