Sandra was an absolute gem! I went in with absolutely zero machine knowledge, and Sandra was so kind and welcoming, she walked me through all the nitty gritty of the process and answered all the questions I had as well as giving endless words of encouragement! Definitely the place to go if you want to learn to sew! They also offer memberships that give you access to studio time as well as other perks, I definitely recommend and for sure will coming back! 🫶🏼

Cute studio full of nice people! Cece did a great job helping me problem solve and was very patient and encouraging! They had a great attitude and knew exactly how to help me figure out my machine that's been rotting in the art room for two years. I definitely recommend!

The BEST sewing studio! My sewing skills have grown exponentially here. The staff are all so talented and accommodating. Raevan has been an extraordinary resource as I have been sewing my wedding dress. It’s a great choice for new and experienced sewists and they have all the materials you need to be successful (plus snacks)!

I cannot recommend That’s Sew Austin enough! The entire team is absolutely amazing. Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced sewer, the teachers are welcoming, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient. The studio is fully equipped with every tool you could possibly need, and I love that they even teach you how to master your own machine. My daughter is autistic, and the staff has been so supportive, offering wonderful advice and a patient environment that makes her feel at home. It’s the perfect place to work on your own projects at your own pace. We strongly recommend them!

I was going to YouTube how to sew but I’m glad I took a class here instead. It was a marvelous experience with Paula and a sewing 101 class. I gained valuable insight and encouragement working on a project. I love it so much that I got a membership and I’m excited to continue to learn as much as I can here. Next up embroidery

I’ve been a member of the studio for several months now, and I have nothing but good things to say! I’m a newbie who wanted to get better at making my own clothes, and Sandra has been amazing—walking me through how to read patterns and helping me understand my sewing machine. If you’re looking for a welcoming community to learn sewing with, this is your spot!

I really wanted to love this service. I’m new to sewing, however, and don’t think they can offer a solid onboarding for someone without existing skills to develop. Further, Raeven, was pretty difficult to work with in helping me find time and structure for the month I paid for. The worst part is that I was only in Austin for one month (which Raeven and 2 of her employees knew from the start) and I’ve been charged for several more months of services. I’ve called and emailed and no one has bothered reaching out. I finally just disputed the charges with my bank. Unreal, terrible, exploitative. Go elsewhere if you can.

Had a .pdf pattern printed on large format paper so now I'm overjoyed that I'll never have to tape 32 pieces of paper together ever again. Fast service, great quality printing. Love that this is the TSA that REQUIRES you to carry scissors!

Everyone is very pleasant and it’s a nice third space to be with other people. I’m excited to learn how to sew and appreciate the different tiers available so you don’t have to make a big investment to try it out, and you can immediately and easily upgrade/downgrade/cancel/restart membership as your needs change. New hobby loading!
