Please go look at the review from Alexandria Beauchamp (Lexi). This was my experience as well. I believe the teachers are knowledgeable but the way the class is structured you really get no instruction time and are basically left sitting wondering during your class , if you are a beginner. Everyone in the class is at a different place and sometimes only one instructor for both the adult classes and children class going on at the same time. As a true beginner, absolutely no knowledge, this class was not worth the time and money since it results in you wasting class time waiting for instructions. I did not go to my last class because during the class before, one instructor helped me with my pattern and helped me sew some only for Sherry to seam rip it all and said it was done wrong. How are these instructors not on the same page on how to teach others. Then when i made a comment about how i thought i was going to be able to finish my project before the seam ripping (maybe naively) Sherry just started telling to me that thats why I can purchace more classes. Do not reccomend.

Took the basics of sewing class and it was amazing. Sherry and Alex's attention to detail never fails and I learned so much within 6 classes. I learned how to sew my first pair of pants and although I was a beginner I had help along the way and the process was very enjoyable. Happy to have started a new hobby with Thimble Fingers Sewing Studio!

The instructor Sherry knows more about sewing and the industry than anyone than I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. If you listen as she tells you a story there are techniques and lessons to be learned. Great pace for Update Other reviewers mentioned that she goes around to the other students and indeed it is not a private lesson but if you will listen when she is helping someone else you will learn the lesson at hand. I have tried other places and thimble finger is 100% the best place to learn well. I love this place. Sherry is a hidden treasure and an extraordinary teacher. Not only will she teach you how to sew she has knowledge that the sewing world has long forgotten about this craft. I love her and love being able to sew now. My daughter has been attending every 2 weeks for 5 months thus far. She has made, 2 bags, 1 pillow in her initial and a skirt. I absolutely love the patience they have to teach. She is only 6 years old and I can only imagine how good she will be with years to come.

I indeed do recommend Thimble Fingers if you want to learn to sew from a beginner standpoint or if you want to become a fashion industry icon. All roads to sewing and fashion success will lead from here. Every level, technique, style, pattern, fabric, thread, skill, standard, etiquette, that you want to learn from or about is best learned here. Believe me I live far from her new location but I promise you that it is worth the drive. What is made available to you here is not available elsewhere!!! I am a student but still in a beginnerish level. I embrace every aspect of this industry and find it fascinating. After searching the surrounding areas both far and near I found that this is the Diamond among the coal; the best of the best. Ms Sherry had polished Thimble Fingers into a place of luxury learning; what I mean by that is Sherry offers the Neiman Marcus of sewing courses at rates that are more than reasonable. Sherry has more knowledge in her little finger than every other instructor that I have met or learned from combined, no lie. I delight in learning from her and consider it an honor to have the privilege and pleasure to absorb such richness and depth in the knowledge from such an extraordinary instructor. Both Sherry and her family are royalty in this industry, but of course one would never hear these words slip from her lips. The beauty of this course is that not only will she have you confident in your ability, not only will you learn to sew and love it, but you will learn much about everything sewing I.e. fabric, thread, and patterns.
