I used this store only for service and maintenance, not for purchasing machines. (BTW I do NOT recommend buying Bernina machines. Though I own two. Details below) Bernina B325 (sewing machine): The machine was in excellent condition and was brought in for routine lubrication only. Due to Bernina’s design, user maintenance is very limited, so professional service is required. The waiting time was over one month, as there is only one technician. While the turnaround was slow, the machine has been running smoothly since, and I have no complaints about the result. Bernina 1150 (serger/overlock): This experience was more disappointing. The service took about 2–3 weeks, but the machine was returned with a basic issue UNresolved: the work light was not functioning. The technician said she couldn’t find a replacement bulb, even though it is a standard, non-specialized part. Replacing it yourself is difficult and requires tools that most users don’t have. Based on my experience and communication with the technician, this service seems suitable for basic maintenance only (cleaning, lubrication). I would NOT recommend this shop for complex repairs, fine adjustments, or servicing machines order than 10 years. For serious work, a specialized technician may be a safer choice—even if that means sending the machine to another city. =====>>> Overall I do NOT RECOMMEND buying Bernina machines. They are GREAT machines but maintenance and repair are expensive. The parts are scarce and EXPENSIVE. Parts for models older than 10 years can be hard to find. Average repair (if required which happens rarely to be fair) will cost $500+. PCB and labor is going to cost $500-$1000. Software (i.e. embroidery) is just expensive as Janome or Baby Lock (gosh!) and is thousands of USD. Bernina has only one authorized service shop in Houston (Sew Special Quilts). Bernina refused to give a license to open more authorized repair centers (I talked to one technician who inquired about it). For comparison, Janome has 5 in town, Baby Lock has 1, Juki has more than 1, SVP (Singer, Viking, Pfaff) has 3+ service locations. Brother has 0 authorized centers in Houston (but SVP can service that to a certain extent) and low-mid tier Brother models are bearly repearable and cost-effective (unless it is Innov-Is models). ==================== I leave the comment publicly (and not trying to resolve it in private) deliberately for customers to know what to expect. My experience with a serger servicing is below my expectations. UPDATE 2/9/2026: Dear shop representative, thank you for taking your time to respond and for an internal investigation (I hope). >>After carefully reviewing our service records for the past year, we are unable to locate any repairs for these two machines under the same name . = Here are the details on the Bernina 1150MDA service: Transaction date: 3/29/2023. Work Order 7117082. Work is done by Laura/Leo. I personally talked to Laura and received messages from her. Whoever was the technician he/she was not able to replace the common incandescent bulb (seriously?). My machine remain to be without one since 2023. After paying $205.09 can you guess if I am happy with a service? NO. I DO NOT recommend it. It is a common 12V 6W 11/32" Base bulb. First, your service technician did not have the Bernina OEM replacement bulb. Second, he/she did not check for an aftermarket. I have discovered that these bulbs are used in Elna, Singer, White, Riccar and else where. Why do I have to search for it given I paid for the service??? I offered your technician (Laura/Leo) to buy and provide the bulb if they do not have it. I asked them to give me details to find one. They did not care to resolve the issue nor provided a solution and returned the serger without the bulb. This is the level of service that cost me $205. OK. Fine. I could replace it myself. But replacement requires a special tool. Again, your technician was expected to do this and include the replacement into a $205 service. It only takes 2 minutes with a proper tool.

First time shopper and absolute amazing experience! Jennifer, Tommy, Sally, we're all very professional, very patient, very kind. Such a positive atmosphere. From current promotions to looking for specific fabrics, they did a phenomenal job helping me. I plan to visit more often, and plan to order more from the online store soon! Thank you the for all you do!

Simply an outstanding quilting and fabric shop in Katy, Texas👏. We traveled, visited and shopped during the 2024 All Texas Shop Hop. We were not disappointed by stopping either👍. Cecilly Abbott warmly greeted us and was so very friendly, gracious and knowledgeable. Hubby found his flag fabric, it’s simply beautiful! We found some choice assorted colors of Verona and satin moon designs as a bonus. Picked up some cool sewing labels too. Felt like we made friends and look forward to returning next year👍

The shop referred me to an affiliate of theirs to finish a quilt for me. The lady martha posey completely butchered and messed up my daughters baby quilt. The just assumed the way i would want it and put a flap of fabric coming out of the top of the quilt and then said she wasnt going to fix it. Waste of time and fabric and money. When i discussed this with the shop all they had to say was they are sorry i had a bad experience with the person they referred. Now i have to go undo everything, purchase more supplies and spend more time and money getting it fixed.
