I had the pleasure of being helped by three of the team members there. Love this family business, better than big box!! I purchased fabric and an antique Singer sewing machine and am absolutely thrilled. My very first quilt, in the works!! I live in GA but will be back in Virginia next week and will 100% be back!!!

Great place for shopping, learning, getting advice on your project and getting your machine repaired. I love the staff, they're wonderful people. This is my current project and I got all the fat quarters at Bergers

I bought a 6-needle Baby Lock Array from Berger’s and my experience couldn’t have gone better! I walked into the store not really knowing how large I wanted to go with my embroidery machine. I run a business and needed more than a single needle. Ray helped me make an informed decision using his expertise. He even came to my house to haul the machine/stand into my basement. Ray then spent an hour teaching me how to use the machine. I can’t say enough about the knowledge Ray has about all things sewing/embroidery. I will always go to Berger’s for my sewing and embroidery needs!

Don't be deceived by the name of this shop - it has plenty of sewing machine purchasing options (including sewing furniture), but the fabric is GREAT! (better than the next closest quilt store frankly). Plenty of tools & notions too. Lots of areas in the store to wander through, with the fabric organized thoughtfully in collections or like types. You might even spot the owner's cat here or there (he or she must be greatly beloved). The cutting table was very efficient, and I enjoyed and partaked in the half price Christmas fabrics (I was there in January). They appear to have a very active class schedule (white board shows what's happening next to the checkout counter). The care with which customers are treated here is a true testimony of a family-run business.
