Sew Fun Jax Sewing Classes

I had a wonderful experience working with Denisha at Sew Fun Jax! We collaborated on a custom keepsake apron made from a pair of jeans that belonged to a loved one. Denisha showed so much care for the project. She asked a lot of questions during our initial consultation to make sure that we had the same vision and I would be happy with her design. Her communication was excellent throughout, the turnaround time for completion was great, and I am thrilled beyond belief at how the finished item came out! Highly recommend for all your custom sewing needs! I will be a return customer for sure.

Denisha at Sew Fun Jax is a hidden gem in Jacksonville. Her beginners class for sewing on a machine was very helpful and informative. I highly recommend her class and want to go back for more learning.

Denisha produces creative custom pieces that are high quality and does an amazing job of teaching her craft to students. Great choice for alterations, custom creations and learning to create! Most notably to me though - this woman's spirit is positively brilliant and she makes her students feel how capable they are! What a blessed soul! Highly recommend!

The experience that I had during my first sewing class is nearly indescribable. Mrs. D was extremely professional, supportive, and knowledgeable. She speaks about the art of sewing with such passion! The environment was super clean and extremely inviting. I left feeling enthusiastic about my goal to learn the craft of sewing. Mrs. D’s ability to encourage her students is definitely not something that can be taught. Her passion for sewing is obviously a gift that she has so diligently worked to perfect. We started from the basics which included learning the parts of the sewing machine and how they worked. I learned how to set the machine up and went through multiple activities to practice. I left having made a pin cushion and a bag with a zipper. Suffice it to say, I’ll be returning at least twice per month until I’ve reached my goal of up cycling.
