I clearly should have read the reviews before I walked in this store. I took an Electrolux vacuum in on a Saturday morning. I was unable to leave it for the technician who is only there from 930 - 230 M, W, F without being charged. They would not allow me to leave my name and number, and they charge because of the paperwork. When I started walking out they said they would let me leave it for $29.99. I'll happily find somewhere else to take my business.. To follow up, I was not asking for a free repair or even a free diagnosis. I simply wanted to leave the vacuum to be looked at and not have to take off work to bring it in. I think a lesson on customer service would be beneficial.

The folks at this store are very knowledgeable about sewing and machine repair. They fixed my 1971 Kenmore so it works better than it did new! They put repaired machines through their paces sewing samples of stitches to be sure it works. When we had an issue with my daughter-in-law's machine in the middle of a project, they offered a loaner. Great people!

I recently had my Butterfly 1501 15-needle embroidery machine serviced by Sewing and Vacuum Authority, and unfortunately the situation did not end in a resolution. According to their advertising, they have expanded their repair services to cover industrial sewing machines, longarm quilting machines, multi-needle embroidery machines, and sergers. Based on that information, I contacted them in September 2025 for routine maintenance — cleaning, oiling, and tension adjustment. My machine was running prior to service, although it had been sitting unused for about a year. After the technician completed the service, I ran a small design and the machine stopped within a few minutes, displaying multiple error codes that had not appeared before. To their credit, they did communicate with us regularly once the issue began and eventually picked up the machine to evaluate it further at their store. However, this process continued from September 2025 until February 2026. The machine was ultimately returned to me in February 2026 unrepaired. I was told they could not obtain the necessary part and that the head was likely bad. While I appreciate the communication efforts, I am disappointed that I paid $700 for service and, after several months, received my machine back not functioning. This has been a frustrating, lengthy, and costly experience — and not the outcome I expected when choosing a company that advertises service for multi-needle embroidery machines.

Left family event early and drove an hour to be there in plenty of time to get vacuum checked in etc before close and the doors were locked. (I work retail and hate it when people come in at close and spend half hour in store, so I try to be respectful of others’ time) woman inside ignored me standing outside with a vacuum in cold with it snowing Looked on google again to verify store hours, “CLOSE AT 5pm” it was 4:08pm.

Needed a replacement bobbin case for my embroidery machine so I called ahead to see if they had one in stock. The lady was kind and took my machine type and called back to say they had a few but recommended I bring in mine to compare since she wasn't 100% certain. They did not end up having the one for my machine and their bobbin case stock was really just a bunch of unmarked cases in a box. The frustrating thing is they had my machine as a floor model so they should have been able to compare that to see if they had one or not. It wasn't organized and wasted a trip. Staff was friendly, but room for improvement on organizing their parts.
