Staff ignored us. when asked a question about whether a thread would fit a needle at checkout, said yes without looking. Fabric not labelled to identify its material, weight, etc. None of the colors labelled for thread, fabric. I like the store being independent and local, but I am not skilled enough to shop there.

Heyde’s customer service is great. I had trouble getting my serger threaded. Tammy was so patient and we finally got it threaded for a very small fee. I’ve taken my machines there’s several times and had excellent service. Highly recommend the store.

I got my new-to-me sewing machine reconditioned here, and I was very pleased with how quickly it was ready to pick up, but they told me I needed a $200 replacement pedal, then offered to sell me a used on for under $200, so I chose the used one. Less than 60 days and just 4 or 5 sewing sessions later, the pedal fritzed out- rendering the sewing machine unusable. Heyde said because it didn't happen in the first 30 days, any repair or replacement of the faulty pedal would be full price for diagnostic and replacement. I understand that's their policy and knew in advance- I just expected their work/products sold to last, rather than fail just outside the 30 days. Update: a $30 pedal from an overseas seller on eBay has my machine sewing like new again.

I brought my sewing machine here about 2 years ago to be repaired, they said they would call me back I waited several months and came back in to check, and they said the same thing, we will call you when its done, the call never came, i came back after a year, and they said that my machine was no longer in their system, and I needed my receipt, who can keep track of a receipt for well over a year, they said there was nothing they could do, I had paid and everything and nope nothing so instead of getting my machine repaired, it was simply never returned. What makes it worse is that machine was my first sewing machine, I got it for my 7th birthday.

Just wanted to share how much I appreciated Laura's help today!! She took the time to explain things to me. She was patient, kind and sincere:) I've only just started my sewing/quilting journey, but immediately felt comfortable asking "beginner" questions. The store is gorgeous, bright and offers so many ideas, fabrics, tools, etc... I look forward to shopping here again. And plan to sign up for one of their classes too. Thanks also to Cindy who answered the phone. She was friendly and encouraging.

I adore shopping at Heyde Sewing because their friendly staff makes finding what I need incredibly easy. I also love that they have stock for days of anything I could ever need for a project. Shopping small does not have to be inconvenient and this store proves that over and over. Great work to all!

I’ve had my Pfaff sewing machine (I must have it 35 years) and a Singer heavy duty machine (2020) repaired at Heyde Sewing Machine Company. Both are sewing again like new. Very happy with their service. I could spend an afternoon happily perusing their wares.

I inherited a Singer sewing machine from my mother. This year for my birthday gift I asked my husband to take it up to the Hyde sewing store we drive past all the time to see about having it serviced. They said it would be about a month to have it fixed up. Well one of the technicians must have heard it was a birthday gift and took it upon themselves to work on it after hours to have it done in time. You don’t experience kindness like this every day, they really went above and beyond. Thank you very much for taking the time to make my birthday special. I used the machine for the first time today since it was serviced and it runs like a dream. I’m so thankful for the technician's knowledge and generosity and will be recommending their services to my friends.

Karen, many, many thanks for helping me out yesterday. I just can't thank you enough. I have been sewing with a Bernina since 1997.....bought a 160 and have loved it. But was time to update. I am thrilled with my new Bernina 535. And it was a pleasure to meet you. Can't wait to sew pretty things for my Great Grandgirls.
