Mesquite Bean Fabrics

I was very unsatisfied with the customer service I received. No hello, no welcome in, no can we help you…I asked the girl at the counter for a certain print straight up answer was no I offered other suggestions of prints and just stood there without offering to help or point me in the direction. As I walked around noticing that they were eager to help other patrons that were Anglo American I realized that a Hispanic was not welcomed. As I walked out once again no acknowledgment. Racism exists in this store.

This is one of my favorite shops I visited in the San Antonio-Austin area for my first All Texas Shop Hop 💜 The thing that struck me was the variety of fabric art supplies, particularly the felt and embroidery (which I do both, soooo I definitely noticed when I visited). It's a little far for me to visit often for classes and such, but worth the drive every once in a while to peruse and pick things up. I will be back! You have a wonderful shop!

This shop has the best selection of fabric, bar none, in San Antonio! While they fancy themselves a quilt fabric shop, the selection is so vast and varied that the materials can be used on any manner of fabric projects. The staff is amazing! So knowledgeable and helpful, there are no "quilt snobs" in this place! If you, like myself, are a fabric lover, than Mesquite Bean should be at the top of your list too!

Oh my goodness, this place is so cute. I don't quit but my daughter does. I stopped in to look for her. They were so nice. Let me take pictures and all. They even have classes. Stop by and meet their shop dog, Jane is a sweet girl

Amazing fabrics, high quality that you can't find at big box retail stores. Lots of Bluebonnet and Texas prints. The customer service is beyond words. The ladies are so helpful, friendly and smart. They're good teachers and willing to share their knowledge or help where they can if you ask questions about your projects. Something I find particularly helpful, personally, is every time I've come in they've assisted me in choosing coordinating fabric colors. I have a hard time matching colors and they're very good at it. I really appreciate they do that for me and my projects don't look like a mess.
