1/16/26: We ordered a kit online and paid for 2 day shipping. Four business days later, USPS tracking still showed the package in pre-shipment (awaiting package). Called the store who said it was out of their hands and we should wait longer. Then they asked us to wait one more day despite there being no evidence they ever took the package to USPS for shipping. They kept claiming there was nothing more they could do to help. When we asked for a receipt that the package had been dropped off to USPS, they admitted they pay someone else to pickup packages for delivery, but they couldn’t reach that person to investigate further (this was during business hours). When we requested reimbursement of the order and shipping fees, they agreed and then hung up on us. We had to call back to confirm the reimbursement. We don’t trust their business practices or the way they manage customer concerns. Two stars only because they reimbursed us. 2/18/26 Update: The kit finally arrived, but we sent it back because they had reimbursed us. Imagine our surprise when the box (now torn up and beaten) returned to us. It was marked "RTS" with their address marked out. Inside was a bunch of trash (the kit had been removed). When we checked tracking, we found they received the box on February 3 at 1109a and had it marked as "addressee unknown" on Feb 4 at 953a. Return to Sender was processed Feb 4 at 1024a. They had it for almost 24 hours before they processed it as RTS. To say their business practices need improvement is a huge understatement. This is retaliation in its lowest form. If service and respect are important to you, avoid this business.

Love this place, either shopping in person or ordering online via their website or Etsy store they always have what I need. I've bought plenty of pattern making tools from them, alpha-numeric paper, manila paper, pattern weights, awls etc. I even recommend my fellow classmates to shop for their supplies here.

Brought our sewing machine here to be repaired. While in the possession of IDS, the machine was damaged. When we picked it up we noticed scuffs and scrapes all along one side. They did attempt to fix the machine, by using Royal a local repair company. The repair was attempted but then they told us they could not complete the repair. Two months later we found out from Juki themselves, that they could not repair it because they bent the frame when they dropped it. This makes sense as they have a work space in disarray and stacks of sewing machines. This ended up costing us an additional $200 because IDS damaged our sewing machine. If I were you I would just use Royal directly.
