Sew & Glow

I unfortunately had a very negative experience at Sew & Glow. I dropped off my wedding welcome party and reception dresses in early May to be hemmed. I picked up the dresses over three weeks later and decided to try them on at home. At home,I discovered that the dresses still had pins in them and were completely untouched, unaltered. I brought them back, and Sew & Glow promised to do the alterations in three days. I returned three days later to a store filled with other disappointed women whose dresses had not been altered correctly. I tried on my dresses in store, and one of my dresses, which has two layers of fabric, had been hemmed unevenly. The woman working there was gaslighting me asking me what was wrong with the dress when it clearly looked bad. The other women in the store defended me while the Sew & Glow employee made up excuses, like that this dress was difficult to hem because it is cut on the bias. I don’t understand how that is a legitimate excuse for a business that does tailoring and alterations. I was honestly furious and again had to leave the dress to be altered properly. I returned for the third time two days later, tried on the dress, and it looked exactly the same. Finally a seamstress was brought in from the part of the store where alternations are done, and she fixed the dress immediately while I waited. The entire experience was exhausting and unprofessional throughout. I am sorry to have to write such a negative review but I don’t want another bride to go through the same thing I did.

I brought my bridesmaid dress to Sew & Glow for alterations, and they did an incredible job. The dress needed several adjustments, and the final fit was absolutely perfect. The staff was knowledgeable, kind, and made sure everything was tailored exactly how I wanted. The alterations were completed on time, and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. I felt comfortable and confident throughout the wedding day. I will definitely be returning for future alterations!

I had my birthday dress altered at Sew & Glow and could not be happier with the results! The dress fit perfectly and looked like it was custom-made for me. The team was professional, friendly, and paid close attention to every detail. The turnaround was fast, the pricing was reasonable, and they made the entire process stress-free. This was the worst tailoring experience I've ever had. I would strongly encourage people to look beyond the reviews before trusting this business with an important garment. I brought in a bridesmaid dress with three weeks' notice and specific requests because I wear leg braces and needed the length adjusted carefully to avoid a tripping hazard. The seamstress never asked what alterations I wanted, seemed annoyed when I requested changes, and rushed through the fitting. It was promised the dress would be ready within 2 weeks. Ten days later, I was told the dress was ready. When I went to pick it up, the only alteration completed was the hem. The breast pads I requested had simply been attached with safety pins, and there were still pins in the dress. I was told to come back a week later because they were "too busy." I explained that it had already been two weeks and that I intentionally left extra time in case any adjustments were needed. I was assured, "It will be perfect." When I returned, the dress had a large snag on the front and bright green stitching (my dress is burgundy) visible through the side seam. I was told the stitching would be fixed and the snag would be steamed out, and that I should return the following day. The next day, nothing had been done. The dress had not been steamed and the breast pads had not even been resecured. They quickly stitched the pads back into place and told me that "a little steam will fix it," despite having already promised the dress would be steamed and ready when I arrived. To make matters worse, when I paid, I was told, "We won't charge you for all the work we did yesterday and today." Considering no additional work had actually been completed, that statement was astonishing. Communication was nonexistent. Multiple phone calls and texts went unanswered throughout the process. Through all 4 visits I made to get one dress tailored, there were other unhappy customers dealing with missing garments, incomplete alterations, or repeated trips to correct mistakes. Poor communication, poor workmanship, missed deadlines, and extremely unprofessional service. I trusted them with an important garment and was left scrambling days before I had to leave town.

Sew & Glow was amazing to work with for my evening gown alterations. Very professional, fair pricing, and excellent attention to detail. I was especially impressed with how beautifully the alterations blended into the original design of the dress. After trying the gown on again at home, I needed a few small adjustments, and everything was fixed quickly and perfectly. The final result fit beautifully and looked amazing for my event. I would absolutely trust Sew & Glow with future alterations and highly recommend booking early because they stay very busy!
