I’ve always wanted to learn how to sew and hadn’t touched a sewing machine before stepping into butchers. I took sewing 101 with Anya and they were an amazing teacher! I feel much more confident in my abilities and it was super helpful to learn all the lingo.

I’ve taken two classes here - first one taught by Elias and second taught by Emily. Both go above and beyond to help you through your project and are so encouraging as you work. I missed a few classes of Emily’s and she was still available by email to answer any questions I had. Butcher’s is a great spot if you haven’t sewed in forever (or have ever sewed, I would assume) and want to get back into things. They’ll build your confidence and walk you through each step of a pattern! If you’re considering taking a class, just do it. Nothing better than saying “thanks, I made this!”

I attend the Sewing 101 class in March 2025, My teacher Megan she was very nice, & very helpful with all the students, I was a self taught sewer but Im so glad I went to class there was so much that I didn't know, I always ask questions, She taught me so much, I made a Tote bag, & more, the good thing she let us bring our own sewing machine to class & taught us how to use our machine correctly, I will continue to take more classes here. I have more confidence that I can make anything.

We love having the Sew Shop in our Bella Vista neighborhood. They offer excellent after-school and summer youth camp sewing programs. There are also evening adult sessions. Great to see men and women designing and sewing there.Everyone looks happy and engaged when we walk by. We wish them continued success. The summer sewing camp kids did a great job creating their stuffies. Check out the variety in their front window.

I recently took the 4 week Sewing 101 and I absolutely loved it. The environment was very welcoming and Elias was a great calm energy to teach this class. Ready to start sewing my tote bag line today!
