Cat is a wonderful teacher and has a wealth of knowledge to share. I went in with 0 experience and now I have a new hobby I love. I will be going back again soon for help on some more complex projects. I can’t say enough good things about her and her studio.

I’ve done a couple private lessons in the past for a a large project I was doing, and I just went again recently. Getting to learn and practice with Cat is just an all round great experience! Would highly recommend if you’re looking for lessons, open studios, tailoring, etc

I had such an amazing experience in class! From the moment we started, I felt comfortable, encouraged, and genuinely excited to learn. Every minute was engaging, and the hands-on guidance made everything easy to understand. I enjoyed the class so much that I went home and ordered the exact sewing machine we used (the Sears Kenmore 158.173) because I loved working on it! That alone says how confident and inspired I felt after just one session. If you’re looking to grow your sewing skills in a supportive and knowledgeable environment, I highly recommend booking a class. I’ll definitely be continuing with private sessions to keep improving my technique. I’m so grateful for such a positive learning experience!

This is a delightful studio, so carefully curated with unbridled joy. Cat cultivates a warm and fun community and meets you just where you are at. Very much recommend for a wide range of folks -- from those who seek professional sewing services to those who are looking to explore expanding their creative expressions.

Cat is an incredible tailor (quite possibly the best in the city). Originally I found her through her alterations classes where she teaches people how to sew in her studio. She’s an incredibly patient teacher and is extremely helpful and knowledgeable in her craft. I’ve also now gone to her several times to hem my pants, dresses and skirts (short girl problems) and she is exceptional! I haven’t been able to find someone who is able to do a cleaner hem and she knows how to keep the original hem on jeans! She truly cares about all her clients and is a joy to work with.
